Please review our course registration, cancellation, transfer and refund terms before making payment for any School of Photography and Media programme.

Refund Policy

Last updated: June 19, 2026.

Thank you for your interest in School of Photography and Media. This Refund Policy explains how cancellations, transfers and refund requests are handled for our photography, film production, media, public speaking, spoken English and professional communication training programmes.

Important Note: Course seats, facilitator schedules, studio preparation, learning materials and administrative arrangements are planned based on confirmed registrations. For this reason, refund requests must follow the conditions stated below.

Interpretation and Definitions

For the purpose of this Refund Policy:

  • "Company", "We", "Us" or "Our" refers to School of Photography and Media and its operating company.
  • "Website" refers to schoolofphotographyandmedia.com.
  • "Courses" or "Programmes" refer to training services offered by School of Photography and Media, including physical classes, online sessions, practical workshops, bootcamps, masterclasses and related learning services.
  • "You" means the student, participant, parent, guardian, company or organization making payment or registering for a programme.
  • "Registration Fee", "Course Fee" or "Training Fee" refers to any amount paid to reserve a seat or participate in a SOPAM course.

Course Cancellation Rights

You may request cancellation of your course registration within 24 hours of payment, provided that the class, training, onboarding, course access, materials distribution or practical session has not commenced.

Where a request is approved, reimbursement will be processed within a reasonable administrative period, and bank/payment processing charges may be deducted where applicable.

Conditions for Refund Eligibility

A refund request may be considered where:

  • The request is made within 24 hours of payment.
  • The registered class has not started.
  • No course materials, private links, digital resources, onboarding access, class group access or training privileges have been issued or used.
  • The student has not attended any physical, online or practical session connected to the programme.

Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds may not be granted where:

  • The course has started or the participant has attended any part of the training.
  • Training materials, digital access, class links, student group access or learning resources have already been issued.
  • The participant fails to attend without prior written notice.
  • The participant changes their mind after the 24-hour cancellation period.
  • The payment was made for a discounted, promotional, limited-seat or special cohort offer clearly marked as non-refundable.
  • The participant is removed from a class for misconduct, abuse, disruption or violation of academy rules.

Course Transfer or Rescheduling

Instead of a refund, SOPAM may allow a participant to transfer their payment to a future cohort or another available course, subject to approval, seat availability and any difference in course fee.

Transfer requests should be made before the course begins. Transfers are not automatic and must be confirmed by the academy.

Academy-Initiated Cancellation or Postponement

If SOPAM cancels or postpones a programme due to operational, facilitator, venue, technical or scheduling reasons, participants may be offered a new date, an alternative course option, or another suitable arrangement communicated by the academy.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund or course transfer, please contact us with your full name, registered course, payment date, proof of payment and reason for the request.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed through a method selected by the academy. Bank charges, payment gateway charges, transfer charges or administrative deductions may apply where relevant.
